LIVE MUSIC – Vinyl Tracks

Vinyl Tracks is a classic rock band based in Front Royal, VA, USA. Ted, Mike and Doug from the longstanding Beatles tribute band Glass Onion and classic rock band The 8 Tracks joined forces with Front Royal legend Mark Clay (Fiery Run, Walls of Clay, etc.) in 2012. These four talented guys have a huge song repertoire, and years of experience appearing at clubs, taverns, festivals and private events in Virginia and the mid-Atlantic states.

FRB @ Peak Leaf Music and Brewers Festival

FRB is proud to be pouring some of our handcrafted brews at The Peak Leaf Music and Brewers Festival. The festival is a one day celebration which includes LIVE music, LOCAL brews, food, and merch, plus camping, all for a great cause. PLMBF is a 501(c)(3) non profit corporation and a portion of the proceeds will go towards providing schools meals for underserved students in Frederick County area.

The Plate Scrapers originated in 2014 in western Maryland the way any good bluegrass band does; from a bunch of fellers pickin’ around in a circle, surrounded by delicious plates of food, strong libations, and beautiful women. The traditional spirit of The Plate Scrapers is still innately intact nearly half a decade later, though they have evolved into far more than your average bluegrass band. Through diverse backgrounds and influences ranging from jazz, to hard rock, to funk, the band has taken their music to an eclectic new level.Having self-released two live albums and two studio albums, toured in fifteen states, and performed in direct support for The Seldom Scene, Keller Williams, Larry Keel, Hot Buttered Rum, We Banjo 3, and more, they have made themselves a household name in their local region of the mid-atlantic.

LIVE MUSIC – Brahman Noodles

The Brahman Noodles style of music is known as Jug Funk , based on a nickname given to Jimmy also known as Jimmy James Jug Funk Petrohilos. The style is a hybrid of blues, funk, jug band, and Americana. The style can be heard throughout their funky improvistional jamacoustic sound. They have their own take on many rock, country, reggae and R&B. Jimmy has traveled all over the country and says a lot of his style was shaped while living in Northwest Arkansas in the Ozarks. “ The folk music of that area is such percussive style “ that really grabbed me especially the sound of the slide guitar with the rhythm.”

Jack Dunlap is the mandolinist for the trio Bud's Collective, but has also worked along side past and present members of Mountain Heart, Audie Blaylock and Redline, Dailey and Vincent, Ricky Skaggs and Kentucky Thunder, Frank Solivan and Dirty Kitchen, Blue Highway, Chris Jones and the Night Drivers and Michael Cleveland and Flamekeeper, to name a few. Though growing up playing bluegrass music, Jack stretches his instrument into other genres such as jazz, swing, blues, rock, classical, country, Eastern Indian folk music, Celtic, polka and many others. He worked as the apprentice to VA based mandolin legend Danny Knicely through the VA Folklife Program. Knicely and Dunlap recorded the album "Chop, Shred & Split - A Mandolin Player's Apprenticeship" together in 2015. The album went on to win Best Bluegrass Album of the Year at the Washington Area Music Awards (WAMMIES).

Bryan Elijah Smith is an ‘Alternative-Americana’ artist based out of the Shenandoah Valley in Virginia. Smith brings to the stage his innate songwriting ability and haunting voice With over 1,000 songs penned & 10 independent releases, Smith is creating a self-produced legacy that began with his first song at the age of 18. The music cradles all things ‘Americana’ at heart & at hand without shying away from a truly uninhibited pop sensibility. Crossing a wide array of genres, what gets produced has been compared to the likes of everyone from Bruce Springsteen to Kings of Leon. Smith recently won 2nd place in the prestigious Chris Austin Songwriting Contest at MerleFest 2018 where he was 1 of 12 songwriters chosen out of 1,000+ entries.

Born and raised in Front Royal, Virginia, Gina began touring up and down the east coast in her tween years with her siblings, earning countless ribbons from fiddlers conventions, a strong reputation in the regional bluegrass scene, and a stamp from Bluegrass Today as “absurdly talented”. She later played in a number of regional acts (Blue Light Special, New Girls Nite Out, On the Run, Bud’s Collective) and has made her international touring exposure with Chris Jones and the Night Drivers soon after joining the group. She is sought after as a teacher privately and at camps across the country. Her new album, True Colors, was released in September 2017 and debuted at #13 on Bluegrass Billboard Charts. Gina is joined by other talented musicians to bring you the Gina Furtado Project.
